With pride and joy we announce that the 42 participants of the Scotiabank Charity Challenge raised $ 25,292 for children with diabetes! THANK YOU!
Participants in the 21 or 5 kilometers races on April 26th at Ile-Ste-Hélène had until May 8th to raise funds. And they excelled both on the trail and in the challenge.
This amount represents valuable grants so that more children can enjoy a stay at Camp Carowanis next Summer. These donations help in providing support, advice and services to families of children with diabetes.
Congratulations to Jessika Chapados, mother of a little girl with diabetes, who raised $ 1,685 and earns the prize given to the top fundraiser: an overnight stay for two at the Hilton Quebec including breakfast, a Roots watch and a bottle of apple eau-de-vie. Bravo!
A special acknowledgement to Michel Lacasse, Board member of the Diabetic Children’s Foundation. He ran the 21k with his two sons and mobilized his people to raise a notable $9,070!
Thank you to all participants for the commitment and devotion they have shown.
