Scotiabank Charity Challenge 2019

Run or walk for children living with Type 1 Diabetes during the Scotiabank Charity Challenge!

Fred, the Diabetic Children’s foundation, is the only organization that supports families, children and adolescents in the daily management of Type 1 diabetes. The families who are part of Fred find comfort, support and information through meetings, exchanges and participation in the various activities organized by Fred and the specialized summer camp for young diabetics.

Come and walk, run or trot with Fred’s “Sweet People” team!

Help Fred reach its goal of $30,000 that will make hundreds of young people across Quebec feel better.  Your contribution is a concrete action so that these young people can live a full and balanced life.

For all participants accumulating

  • twice the price of their registration; the registration fees will be refunded;
  • $3,000; a two-week stay at Camp Carowanis – specialized for diabetics – (for a diabetic child between the ages of 7 and 16 only);
  • $5,000 and over; a weekend stay in the Laurentians.

* If a participant cancels their participation after registration, they will be asked to pay the cost of their registration, as Fred cannot be reimbursed by the Scotiabank Charity Challenge.

How can I easily raise funds quickly?

Set an example!

Make the first donation and send your message with the link to your fundraising page across all your social networks. Ask for $10 to $25 and you will see that many will respond quickly to help you.

People will give more easily if you have made the first step.

Ask friends and family

Approach three family members and five friends, ask them to contribute $20 to $25 each.

At the office, why not…?

There are at least several colleagues who will encourage you if you ask them for $10 each. The amount will quickly be added to your collection.

Good neighbours and parties

Do not hesitate to ask the neighbours or all the participants of your get togethers or parties.

More energy? Organize a small fundraising event

At the office: jeans day: $5 for those who participate, community breakfast: $10, homemade desserts: $5 per portion, tie day: $5 for those who wear it.
